Overview

Carl brings over 30 years of driver training expertise spanning police advanced driving, high-performance track coaching, and fleet-operator instruction. A serving Metropolitan Police officer for almost three decades — holding a current Class 1 Advanced Car and Class 1 Advanced Motorcycle qualification — he combines deep operational road-craft knowledge with an ability to coach drivers of every level, from nervous fleet operators to supercar experience clients.

Away from policing, Carl has spent more than 20 years as a performance driving consultant for some of the world's most prestigious manufacturers. He is a current Porsche Driver Consultant at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone, and has previously coached at Aston Martin's facility at Gaydon and delivered manufacturer events at Millbrook Proving Ground for McLaren, Jaguar Land Rover, and others.

High-Performance & Track Coaching: Over two decades delivering on-track and off-track tuition for Porsche, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Jaguar Land Rover — covering high-speed handling circuits, low-friction surfaces, skid control, and kick-plate dynamics.

Advanced Road-Craft & Blue-Light Response: Police Class 1 Advanced Car and Motorcycle (current). Former police driving instructor and blue-light driving assessor with experience in pursuit, fast-road, and emergency-response training.

Fleet-Operator & Compliance Training: Extensive fleet delivery for RoSPA, IAM, and AA DriveTech — including Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR) programmes, post-collision courses, intervention courses, and defensive driving for organisations such as Royal Mail, BT, and the MOD. DVSA SAFED-registered trainer and Driver CPC classroom instructor.

Multi-Category Instruction: Qualified across car, LGV, PCV, trailer, off-road 4x4 (including self-recovery and winch work), motorcycle, and chauffeur training with a security-risk element. Former RTITB LGV trainer; RoSPA-approved across all specialist categories.

Electric Vehicle Awareness: Currently undertaking Porsche's EV launch training programme, building on existing experience with EV platforms and customer events for Jaguar Land Rover.

Instructor Development & Assessment: RoSPA Examiner across all classes (Car, Motorcycle, LGV, PCV — current). IAM Examiner across all classes. QCF Assessor (BTEC Level 3). Experienced in designing and delivering Train-the-Trainer courses and five-day in-house driving-assessor programmes.
