John is an experienced driver trainer, assessor, and coach with over 20 years' experience delivering driver development, behaviour change, and education programmes across the emergency services, fleet, criminal justice, and road safety sectors.

A DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), RoSPA Gold advanced driver, and BTEC Level 4 qualified Driver Development Coach, he specialises in helping drivers improve decision-making, risk awareness, and on-road performance.

His experience includes advanced driving instruction for statutory ambulance services, patient transport organisations, commercial fleets, and professional drivers. He also supports fleet and driver managers as an in-house assessor and delivers Driver CPC training in both classroom and online environments.

John has trained and assessed drivers on behalf of leading organisations including IAM RoadSmart, RoSPA, Drivetech (AA), TTC Group, Cheshire Police, and the Blue Lamp Trust.

His coaching style is calm, professional, and highly client-centred. Rather than relying on instruction alone, he uses questioning, reflection, and evidence-based coaching techniques to help drivers identify risks, challenge habits, and build confidence.

The result is not simply a better drive on the day, but safer and more effective decision-making long after the training has ended.
