His police career included training officers in Pursuit, Tactical Pursuit and Containment, Evasive and Anti-Hijacking techniques. He was also firearms trained.
Prior to that he benefited from service with the Royal Corps of Transport, bestowing him with expertise in dealing with heavy loads and recovery.
