Advanced Road Driving

Driving Masters providers advanced driver coaches for drivers seeking to upskill their road driving.

We typically work with those with a love for cars and driving, helping them develop their road skills and to increase the pleasure derived from driving.

The Skills

A broad range of topics are covered building on the skills a driver already possesses.

After an initial assessment, our coaches deliver training to extend and challenge a driver across the following areas:

• Awareness and anticipation: visual scanning, hazard interpretation and planning.
• Cornering skills: speed and gear management, road positioning, vehicle dynamics.
• Advanced safety techniques: dealing with different environments (urban, country & motorway).
• Mindset: Emotions, attitudes and behaviours influence your driving - we coach taking back control.
• Self development: Methods and skills that you can take away and practice.
• Braking: vehicle balance, correct usage of ABS.
• Expert driving techniques: overtaking and ‘making progress’ safely.

How we Deliver

We pair you up with a local coach, on a day of your choosing.

Our coaching takes place on public roads with our team sat beside you in your road car, guiding and coaching you across a range of situations.

If required we can include an additional handling and vehicle dynamics element within the day at a number of proving grounds across the UK.

All our team members have the appropriate coaching and teaching qualifications as well as impressive arrays of advanced driving qualifications and awards. They’ve taught in industry, they’ve taught the police and the military and they are at the top of their game.
